Doris Schmidt
Doris Schmidt is Managing Director of Connective Base GmbH and Managing Director of BOKU:BASE Labs under commercial law. Her work in the New-Tech Team of OMV Exploration & Production, specialized in nanotechnology and new technologies, enabled her to transfer university expertise into the business world. Her strong interest in safety led to extensive knowledge in the areas of Health, Safety, Security & Environment. Doris' scientific expertise, acquired through doctoral studies at the University of Vienna, is particularly valuable for academic and high-tech spin-offs with laboratory infrastructure needs. Her many years of laboratory experience and additional certified training in business administration and quality management (ISO 17024 quality officer) as well as occupational safety support spin-offs in process optimization and consulting.

Michaela Amstötter-Visotschnig
Michaela Amstötter-Visotschnig is an authorized signatory of Connectiv Base and also heads the BOKU:BASE team. She has been at BOKU University since 2014 in the field of technology transfer/ start-up consulting/ entrepreneurship. She has built up BOKU:BASE from the very beginning. Thanks to her broad university knowledge, she knows all the essential processes and the necessary legal background. She has led important BOKU negotiations such as those for the Comet Center acib 2019 on the part of technology transfer. Thanks to her Management Science degree at WU Vienna, she has extensive business training. She has launched numerous very successful spin-offs. Examples include Holloid GmbH, Novasign GmbH and Agrobiogel GmbH.

Manuel Orasch
Manuel Orasch has been advising university start-up projects and supervising BOKU spin-offs since spring 2022. He completed his Master’s degree in Business Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. After graduating from university, he worked at Deloitte in the transfer pricing tax department. There he gained experience in advising multinational corporate groups as well as basic knowledge of tax law. All these activities are essential experience for the support of spin-offs and the management of investments.
